We've been there
We have worked with correctional facilities for a number of years and understand the concerns as well as the challenges of working inside secure facilities. We know the importance of observing policy and procedure while working on-site. Making sure to keep track of tools and equipment wile moving around the facility is a top priority.
We want to make sure only those staff and inmates that are authorized to be in-the-know are apprized to our activities. Many times while working in a secure facility, we get asked for details about the purpose of our visit or the equipment functionality. In these instances it's best to be vague and brief and not divulge any info other that the obvious. Count on us to keep a lid on things.
One thing to note about working in a secure facility is that it takes significantly more time to do even simple jobs due to the mobility constraints. Doors needing locked/unlocked, inmate transports, other visitors, and various other activities can slow progress. We understand all of this and have adapted and taken that into consideration.
